In 2015 we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lamp Pipistrello designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965. The Pipistrello has become a cult object, it has produced in many variations, in different colors and finishes, in perfect harmony with the original project designed by gae aulenti. Martinelli luce has produced an exclusive version in gold finish, presented in paris for the first time at the italian institute of culture for the party dedicated to the 50 years of the lamp.

The Kochi-Muziris Art Biennale, one of the biggest cultural events in southwest India, is a meeting between the past and the present. The Biennale uses the language of art to explore contemporary works from India and beyond.
Contemporary works by almost 100 artists from some 30 countries feature across the eight venues of the festival in the state of Kerala. Many works deal with themes of time, the planet, and the environment. Among the big names are exhibiting : Anish Kapoor, Yoko Ono, Yang Zhengzhong, Wim Delvoye, Susanta Mandal...
The “Whorled Explorations” is described as a "swirling, experiential promenade" through history. “It is the only major non-commercial art festival which is happening in this country at this moment, says Riyas Komu, founder of Kochi Biennale.

Sonia Delaunay was a key figure in the Parisian avant-garde and became the European doyenne of abstract art. Throughout the first half of the twentieth century, she celebrated the modern world of movement, technology and urban life, exploring new ideas about colour theory together with her husband Robert Delaunay. This will be the first UK retrospective to assess the breadth of her vibrant artistic practice across a wide range of media. It will feature the groundbreaking paintings, textiles and clothes she made across a sixty-year career, as well as the results of her innovative collaborations with poets, choreographers and manufacturers, from Diaghilev to Liberty.

Barbara Hepworth: Sculpture for a Modern World has opened on the 24th June and is on until the 25th October 2015, featuring more than 100 works, from early carvings to the later works in bronze and wood. It also displays the personal photograph albums compiled with her second husband Ben Nicholson.
